Centro Brasil no Clima (CBC)

Centro Brasil no Clima (CBC) is a non-partisan organization that promotes the decarbonization of Brazil’s economy and protecting Brazil’s biodiversity. Through knowledge and engagement with various sectors of society, CBC seeks to influence policymakers to implement concrete and just policies to address the climate emergency. With the Green Accountability grant, CBC will deliver climate finance trainings within state secretariats and strengthen state climate forums and the Fórum Brasileiro de Mudança do Clima (FBMC) to be more effective and inclusive.

Fiquem Sabendo (FS)

Fiquem Sabendo (FS) is a non-profit organization specializing in public transparency. Its mission is to reduce the imbalance of power between society and the state to build evidence-based public policies for citizens to hold their representatives accountable and actively participate in democracy. With the Green Accountability grant, FS will promote a collaborative network by creating a platform of self-directed online courses on environmental information transparency to offer free training to community leaders, socio-environmental activists and local communicators throughout Brazil. FS will produce a report with recommendations to improve public data portals, standardizing and structuring missing data on environmental issues.

Instituto de Estudos Socioeconômicos (INESC)

Instituto de Estudos Socioeconômicos (INESC) is a non-profit organization that works with other civil society organizations and social movements to promote, strengthen and guarantee democracy and citizenship since 1979. Its mission is to influence national and international governance spaces, discussing public policies and human rights with a focus on the public budget. With the Green Accountability grant, INESC will increase the capacity of civil society to monitor and influence climate governance and the allocation of resources for the adaptation agenda.

Instituto Fronteiras

Instituto Fronteiras is a non-profit organization promoting participation to solve socio-environmental problems in the Juruá Valley, with a focus on indigenous and traditional communities. With the Green Accountability grant and existing partnerships, they aim to empower these communities with an open-access online platform for information on climate finance. Instituto Fronteiras will leverage its organizing role in the 2025 National Meeting of the Brazilian Society for Ecological Economics in Cruzeiro do Sul-AC and COP30 to facilitate discussions on climate finance, while amplifying local voices on national and international stages.

The Onça D’água Association

The Onça D’água Association is a non-profit organization in Brazil that offers operational and technical assistance in the management of the Tocantins Conservation Units. The association promotes the defense, preservation, and conservation of biodiversity, environmental education, and the revival of cultural values. With the Green Accountability grant, Onça D’água will enhance and continue the Tocantins Voices for Climate Justice Coalition’s networking activities to increase the visibility and mobilization capacity of rural and traditional communities, as well as organized civil society, around adequate public policies, governance, and climate finance through the Coalition's three areas of action: youth training, communication, and advocacy.
